200L EcoChyll X9 Hi-Speed Evaporator Complete System

Category:

If you want to maximize your evaporation capacity well beyond what a standard 50L rotary evaporator would allow, you have a few options. You could purchase many 50L evaporator setups, taking up lots of space, driving costs way up, and requiring a full-time technician to manage. You could purchase industrial equipment like falling film evaporators which are huge, extremely expensive, and difficult to maintain. Or you could purchase an EcoChyll X9.

With a true 200L capacity, the X9 has the highest capacity of any rotary-style evaporator in the world, capable of replacing 8 standard 50 liter rotary evaporators. Capable of evaporating up to 120 liters per hour of ethanol, it is also far faster than any rotary evaporator. While evaporating at a rate as fast as eight 50L rotary evaporator setups from other leading brands, it costs less than two. Operating costs are also far lower due to the EcoChyll’s energy efficient design, lower manpower requirement, and elimination of the need for glycol or other refrigerant.

A Breakthrough in Efficiency & Usability

Ecodyst pioneered two major advancements in rotary evaporator design. First, it pumps refrigerant directly from its compressor through metal cooling coils. Secondly, it replaces the rotating flask in a bath with a stationary, stirred evaporating flask on a heating mantle. This provides many advantages, including:

  • Massive improvements in energy efficiency compared to 50L rotovaps: 50 – 80% less energy used per unit solvent evaporated
  • Because it doesn’t need to rotate, we put a valve on the evaporating flask for easy drainage.
  • No need for glycol or other coolant fluids.
  • Vastly reduced startup time. The directly cooled condensers are cold in just minutes, and the direct heat of the mantle heats the flask contents faster.
  • Less need to handle large glassware reduces the risk of breakage and improves lab safety.
  • The upright orientation of the flask allows for use of its full capacity. 200L means you can actually put 200L in it!
